CROP. All that white shits gotta go. Unless there was something in those giant white blobs, you gotta crop it out. What you can do is:
Scan>Open in art prog>Crop what you want>Voila
If there was something in those white spaces, then I suggest going over it in hard pencil or pen. A scanner won't catch light stuff, so make sure it's dark enough.
Dodge tool. Cleans up excess pencil marks like a dream. I'll find the link to what I mentioned before and send it over; it's pretty cool. But don't use it like mad.
OVER ACHIEVING: extra shit:
If you want to color a drawing like this, multiply is key. What to do:
Open in art prog>change the layer to multiply (probs a drop down menu that lets you choose)>make another layer>put it under the multiply layer>color
Multiply helps because you can color inside lines without ever fucking up the actual lines.
